Non-degree Study Program

 

About the program

An educational program that allows members of the community to study one or more courses at King Saud University without being regular students in order to enable them to acquire educational experiences and knowledge in areas of their needs and interests.

Beneficiaries

  • All those wishing to gain experience or improve specific scientific and academic skills without committing to an academic degree program.
  • Undergraduate or graduate students, who wish to take specific courses to complete the requirements for admission to graduate programs or to gain knowledge in a scientific field related to the field of research, such as statistics.
  • Those wishing to prepare for exams and complete requirements for professional certifications.
  • Visiting students enrolled in a bachelor's program at another college or university.
  • Those interested in learning and increasing their knowledge in various fields of science and literature.

Regulations for registering courses without awarding a degree

  • You must meet the qualifications of the academic requirements to study the required course.
  • Admission may require other requirements or a personal interview.
  • Passing the courses does not result in admission to the university's academic programs.
  • Registration of some specialized courses, such as field courses or courses of a research, clinical or therapeutic nature, is subject to the approval of the college concerned with the request.
  • The beneficiary can study 23 study units from the diploma and bachelor's stages and 12 study units from the postgraduate stage.
  • A student enrolled in a non-degree course is treated as a regular student and must fulfill all course requirements, including attendance, participation, assignments and tests, and receive an academic record showing the grade obtained at the end of the semester.
  • When withdrawing or dropping courses, the refund regulations applicable to students of the College of Applied Studies and Community Service apply.

Financial remuneration

The financial fee for studying the course is determined based on the cost of one academic unit according to the following table:
