Based on the university's role in the development of human resources, and its belief in the importance of this role in the success of institutions and increasing their productive capacities, the Department of Administrative Sciences and Humanities was established at the College of Applied Studies and Community Service at King Saud University, which aims to prepare well-qualified human resources that highlight the university's role in serving the community and its keenness to do everything that would contribute to the development and qualification of human resources and refine the scientific and practical skills possessed by members of society.

The Department of Administrative and Human Sciences currently offers six diplomas, one of which is intended for male and female students after the university stage, namely the General Diploma in Education, and the remaining five are intended for male and female students with a high school diploma, namely Accounting, Systems, Insurance, Banking and Marketing Diplomas. The General Diploma in Education aims to prepare teachers for the different stages of education in an educational manner. The various other post-secondary diplomas contribute to providing the labor market with the qualified and trained cadres it needs for immediate entry into the workforce. The department also offers, on an irregular basis, the Diploma of Radio and Television Production Assistants, which aims to introduce the principles and techniques of radio and television production, and the Diploma of Student Guidance and Counseling, which aims to prepare and qualify psychologists in the field of guiding and counseling students in primary, middle and secondary schools in light of the objectives and tasks set by the Ministry of Education.
