Skill Development Unit

The Skills Development Unit is an administrative entity within the College of Applied Studies and Community Service, organizationally affiliated with the College's Deanship for Development and Quality. The unit is committed to delivering comprehensive services aimed at skill enhancement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Its efforts contribute to improving the academic and administrative performance of faculty members, students, and administrative staff by coordinating and collaborating with relevant entities within the university.

Unit message 
The Skills Development Unit aims to empower college members to achieve academic and administrative excellence by identifying their training needs in alignment with the objectives of both the college and the university. It focuses on organizing training programs, overseeing their implementation, and assessing their effectiveness to ensure the highest standards of performance, excellence, and creativity.

Unit objectives

  1. Enhance the educational, research, and administrative performance of all college members.
  2. Promote a culture of continuous training and development as a fundamental pillar of institutional excellence.
  3. Provide specialized training opportunities that contribute to improving efficiency and achieving academic and administrative excellence.
  4. Establish effective partnerships with relevant entities within and outside the university to support skill development efforts.
  5. Utilize the latest methods and technologies in training and development processes to ensure impactful and sustainable outcomes.

Unit tasks

  1. Identify the training needs of college members and propose suitable programs for skill development.
  2. Coordinate with the Deanship of Skills Development and relevant entities to implement training programs.
  3. Monitor the execution of training programs to ensure the achievement of desired objectives.
  4. Evaluate the impact of training programs and measure their effectiveness in improving participants' performance.
  5. Provide support and consultation for college members in professional and academic development fields.
