Praise be to Allah and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, companions and those who follow him:  The College of Applied Studies and Community Service was established as a community service center, which later developed into a deanship, before the Royal Approval No. 225/8 dated 17/3/1421 A.H. was issued to transform it into the College of Applied Studies and Community Service.
Throughout its journey during these years, the college became more established and gained experience in the academic and administrative fields that enabled it to play its role, achieve its goals, and contribute to the realization of the university's strategic objectives, thus expanding the list of beneficiaries of its services from students, scholars, and trainees from the government and private sectors year after year.
During its journey, the college has achieved many achievements and contributed effectively to meeting the needs of the community through its governmental and private institutions. To achieve this, sincere efforts were made by the former deans of the college, vice deans, heads of academic departments and all its employees to upgrade its level, improve the quality of services provided, update the study plans for diploma students and training courses, which culminated in the introduction of the first bachelor's program in computing, which the college received the first batch in this academic year 1436/35 AH, as well as the first graduates of the program.
In conclusion, I would like to extend my sincere thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the UQU President, Prof. Abdullah bin Salman Al-Salman, His Excellency the UQU Vice Presidents and all members of the UQU Council for all the support they provided to the college in order to develop it, upgrade its services, facilitate its role, and achieve its goals in a way that contributes to achieving the university's vision and strategic objectives.
