Academic Counseling Unit
This unit specializes in receiving and guiding new students, introducing them to the college and its various departments, and preparing them for the various programs and related activities within the university. The unit also works to develop the personal skills and abilities of students, and help them to determine their future goals, as well as the appropriate career paths.
Duties:
- Supervising the academic counseling process and following up on students' academic issues and needs.
- Follow up and study the students' behavioral and academic difficulties and work to address them in coordination with the academic counseling department and the specialized academic departments with specialized expertise in the field of academic counseling.
- Identify students in need of psychological, social or physical services and help them overcome the difficulties they face, in coordination with the specialized academic institutions with specialized expertise in the field of education.
- Supervising studies related to the field of academic counseling and the psychological, social and behavioral needs of students.
- Providing advice and counseling to students to develop their skills and abilities to achieve the best academic results.
- Organize the necessary tools and courses to enhance students' academic, intellectual and interactive skills, as well as the concept of positive personality, in order to achieve the best academic and personal results.
- Preparing a quarterly report regarding the unit's activities and submitting it to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs.
- Assisting the vice dean in planning and implementing everything that facilitates the workflow of the unit.
