Objectives of the program

  1. Provide the program students with the concepts and technical principles of the insurance industry and the practical procedures related to the insurance process.
  2. Prepare students of the program to keep abreast of the rapid developments of the insurance industry.
  3. Prepare students of the program for jobs in the insurance industry.
  4. Preparing students to perform the jobs required of them through the development of their scientific and practical skills.

List the different types of insurance and the extent to which they exist:

  • Mention the different types of insurance and the importance of each of them to different economic sectors.
  • Identify the risks and how to analyze and measure them and choose the appropriate means to confront them.
  • Explain the technical and legal bases and rules of insurance.
  • Review recent developments in professional practice, technical requirements and regulations in the professional field of insurance.

Cognitive skills:

  • Applies concepts, theories, and investigative processes to issues and concerns related to insurance and/or employment, and is able to develop sound solutions based on that analysis.
  • Utilizes customer communication skills and marketing of insurance services.
  • Apply technical and professional knowledge of insurance in analyzing and making decisions for practical issues with limited guidance.
  • Understand and interpret the implications of decisions made in the insurance industry.

Interpersonal skills and responsibility:

  • Act ethically and adhere to high moral values on a personal and social scale.
  • Assume the responsibilities necessary for successful employment in the insurance industry.
  • Identify weaknesses in their own knowledge and skills, and have the ability to plan and act to support their own continuous learning.

  • Interpret and evaluate quantitative and qualitative data and present results orally and in writing.
  • Apply relevant statistical and mathematical methods to investigate and propose solutions to issues in the insurance industry.
