Intermediate Diploma in Hotel Management

Hospitality projects are being developed to meet the growing demand for hotel rooms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia due to the significant increase in the number of local and foreign tourists and visitors to Saudi Arabia. The Kingdom's hotel sector set a record in 2022, with the opening of 12,000 hotel rooms, the highest rate globally in the hotel and hospitality industry.

According to estimates by the Ministry of Tourism, growth rates are expected to continue until 2030, with the number of hotel rooms expected to rise from about 128,000 rooms currently to about 403,000 rooms by 2030, a jump of about 215%. By 2030, the total number of new rooms will be distributed 37% for 5-star hotels, 36% for 4-star hotels, 17% for 3-star hotels and below, and 10% for hotel apartments. Therefore, the Kingdom's hotel labor market is in dire need of qualified individuals who are able to meet the increasing growth in the sector. The Intermediate Diploma Program in Hotel Management offered by the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management at the College of Tourism and Antiquities will contribute to meeting the current labor market needs.
