Based on the university role in developing human resources and its belief in the importance of this role in the success of national enterprises and increase their productivity, a program of Administrative and Social Sciences has been established in the College of Applied Studies and Community Services. The establishment of this academic program, which aims to prepare well-qualified and competent human resources, highlights the university role in serving its community, and its commitment toward community engagement through developing human resources and refining their scientific and practical skills.
Currently, the program of Administrative and Social Sciences provides six diplomas; one of them is for male and female university graduates called "General Diploma in Education", and the remaining five for male and female students who obtained a secondary school certificate. These five Diplomas are in the field of: Accounting, Laws, Insurance, Banking, Finance, and Marketing.
The aim of the General Diploma in Education is to prepare teachers for the different stages of education at the kingdom from a pedagogical perspective. The remaining five Diplomas contribute to provide the marketplace with the needed highly qualified and trained workforce. Besides these diplomas, the program also offers, though not on a regular basis, a diploma in radio and television co-production, which aims to introduce the principles and techniques of radio and television production. And in order to prepare and qualify psychologists in the field of student's guidance and counseling at primary, intermediate and secondary schools in the light of the objectives and tasks set by the Ministry of Education, the program of Administrative and Social Sciences also provides a specialized Diploma in Students' Counseling and Guidance.
